Next S.T.A.A.R. Universe Short Story

The next short story in the S.T.A.A.R. Universe will be titled Windchill . It will follow Operations Team Mike-16, which specializes in cold weather warfare, investigating reports from Assessment Team Peregrine-Crimson of potential alien activity near a remote Alaskan town. Once I start writing it, I'll be able to get a good estimate of when it will be completed. It will probably be a standard short story, rather than flash fiction like Orbital Drop was. Future Plans for the S.T.A.A.R. Universe

While I work on the adaptation of the 1995 Atari Games light gun arcade game Area 51, which S.T.A.A.R.  comes from, I will be posting short fiction, both short story and flash fiction (FF is typically 1,000 words or less) relating to my lore expansion.  Each story will focus on a specific Operations Team, providing a slice of life relating to what each one does. The next one will follow a rookie, Private First Class Cady of Operations Team Bravo-02, on their first sub-orbital combat drop. Look for its release sometime in the next few days. -           Dylan

I'll make Special Tactical Advanced Alien Response (S.T.A.A.R.) unit from a three-person team into an entire organization, with teams ranging in size from two-person infiltrators to division-size combat units. I'll expanded their history, arsenal, scale, create an entire hierarchy, and many other things as well. All these things are being done to bring the Area 51 franchise out of stasis, to one day make it a household name, to bring to fruition the true potential of an as-of-now niche and inactive series. So I say to you, may you fi...
